Who are they, and what are they up to at the moment? This review will go into depth and uncover this.
Steve Irwin’s Wife Terri Irwin.
She is the former wife of Steve. The pair were married for well over a decade, 14 years to be exact. Terri is 57 years old, having been born on July 20th in 1964. Her hometown is Eugene, Oregon.
The woman is a naturalist, television personality and zoo owner. Terri and her former husband Steve met back in Australia while the former was on vacation. They shared an instant connection which sparked a life long journey together.
Terri, who is an American born woman, would eventually move to Australia to settle down with her husband.
They ran the Australian Zoo together, an establishment Steve inherited from his father. After Steve tragically passed away, Terri started to run the zoo by herself.
Numerous reports circulated that the naturalist was dating Australian actor and longtime friend, Russel Crowe. Many people will recognize for his role in the award-winning film, the Gladiator. However, Terri Irwin denied these claims. She insisted that she has not dated anyone else ever since her husband’s passing.
Instead, she chooses to spend the rest of her life protecting her late husband’s legacy as well as taking care of the children she had with him.
Steve Irwin’s Daughter Bindi Irwin.
Bindi Sue Irwin is the daughter of Steve and Terri Irwin. She came into this world on July 24th, 1998 in Buderim, Australia. This means that she turned 23 years old in 2021.
Like her parents and grandparents before her, Bindi is also an animal rights activist, conservationist, reality documentary television personality and writer.
She became famous after appearing on the television show Bindi the Jungle Girl when she was just 9 years old.
The show premiered back in 2007 and went on to register a little under 20 episodes during its run time. Bindi would later go to star on other reality shows. These include Return to Nim’s Island and Free Willy.
In regards to her educational background, we learned that Bindi was homeschooled. Bindi also pursued exploits in music as well as dance. In 2015, she was part of the celebrity show Dancing with the stars.
Before she turned 10, Bindi Irwin became the youngest recipient of a Daytime Emmy Award for an Outstanding Performance in a Children’s series. Bindi is romantically involved with a man named Chandler Powell. The two got engaged earlier this year and plan to get married in the new future.
Robert Clarence Irwin.
Clarence is the second child of Steve and Terri Irwin. He was born on the 1st of December, 2003 in Buderim, Australia. This would mean that he is turning 18 years old this December.
Robert was introduced to the wild right from the onset. In fact, when he was barely a month old, Steve brought him in close proximity to a salt lake crocodile. It was a moment that sparked a little controversy.
Robert followed in his parents’ footsteps and became an animal conservationist and actor. He has starred in films such as the Wild Times, Bindi the Jungle Girl, and it’s the Irwins.
While he is not tending to animals or starring on television, Robert enjoys spending time taking pictures. Like his sister Bindi, Robert Irwin was also homeschooled.
While the two siblings are basically two sides of the same coin, Robert enjoys spending time with furry animals such as koalas as opposed to reptiles.
Despite his relatively young age, Robert has already been the recipient of numerous awards and nominations. These include a Logie Award Nomination and a Dahsyatnya Award. Robert and his sister Bindi will inherit the Australian Zoo once their mother Terri decides to retire.
Steve Irwin’s Father Bob Irwin.
Steve’s father is Bob Irwin. He is the patriarch of the Irwin Family. The man is 82 years old at the moment. He was born on June 8th, 1939 back in Melbourne, Australia. Bob is responsible for his son’s love for conservation. The old man would also feature on his son’s tribute documentary, ‘He Changed Our World.’
He is not only a naturalist but also a writer. Bob is also credited with starting the Australian Zoo, which he left to his son Steve to run after retirement. The ownership of the zoo would then pass on to Terri after his son’s death.
Steve’s death had a negative impact on his father. Bob cut himself off from the rest of the family. He found a 600-acre spot in camp Chilli which he rarely leaves. The locals also reported that he does not like to speak to any of them, nor does he have a particularly welcoming policy.
Bob Irwin has also not spoken to the rest of the Irwin family for well over a decade as the relationship grew gradually estranged. In an interview, his granddaughter Bindi went on to say that their grandfather even returned some of the birthday gifts they sent to him.
Steve Irwin’s Mother Lynn Irwin.
She was the Matriarch of the Irwin family right up until her death on the 11th of February, 2000. Lynn was 58 years old at the time of her passing, having come into this world on February 22nd, 1942. She came from the town, Queensland in Australia.
Lynn was also an animal rights activist, conservationist, and wildlife specialist. She was also involved in running her husband’s zoo.
Lynn is particularly remembered for her efforts caring for orphaned marsupials. After her passing, the family started a memorial fund to honor her memory.
Sister Joy- Irwin Muscillo.
She is Steve’s sister. Not a lot of information is available regarding her early life. As such, we could not determine exactly when she was born, but she is most likely in her 50s at the moment. Joy worked at the Australian Zoo alongside her husband Frank, right up until he was let go by her brother’s wife.
This prompted Joy to also leave the zoo in solidarity. The entire Irwin Family has been estranged ever since Steve’s passing. At the moment, she chooses to stay away from the spotlight. Joy and her husband Frank are the proud owners of a restaurant in which they run together.
Sister Mandy Irwin.
She is Steve Irwin’s youngest sister and the daughter of Bob and Lynn Irwin. There is no information available on her at the moment.
We did learn however that she was involved in the family business as well. Mandy is a conservationist, much like her brother and father were.
It remains unclear what she is up to at the moment, or what side she took after the entirety of the Irwin Family had a falling out after the death of Steve.
